Freelance Employment Contract - Adetoba Mumeen Adedeji
This contract, dated on the , is made between Lifted Ventures Ltd and of . This document constitutes an Freelance Employment agreement between these two parties and is governed by the laws of laws of England in the United Kingdom.
WHEREAS the Employer desires to retain the services of the Freelancer, and the Freelancer desires to render such services, these terms and conditions are set forth.
IN CONSIDERATION of this mutual understanding, the parties agree to the following terms and conditions:
The Freelancer agrees that he or she will faithfully and to the best of their ability to carry out the duties and responsibilities communicated to them by the Employer. The Freelancer shall comply with all company policies, rules, and procedures at all times.
As a Frontend Developer, it is the duty of the Freelancer to perform all essential job functions and duties:
From time to time, the Employer may also add other duties within the reasonable scope of the Freelancer’s work title.
Under this agreement, the working days are from Monday to Friday; For each day the working hours are from 09:00 am to 13:00 pm local time in the country of residence of the Freelancer: making it 4 working Hours total for each working day.
As compensation for the services provided, the Freelancer shall be paid a wage of £190 GBP per month and will be subject to a quarterly performance review. The payment will be made in two equal installments on the 14th and the 28th of each calendar month. Prior to each payment, the freelancer will send an invoice with all the necessary information needed to make the payment.
It is understood that the first 2 weeks of Freelance Employment constitute a probationary period. During this time, the Freelancer is not eligible for paid time off or other benefits. During this time, the Employer also exercises the right to terminate Freelance Employment at any time without advanced notice.
Under the terms of this agreement, non-working days (e.g: during a short illness or during national holidays in the country of residence of the freelancer) will be paid but the Freelancer is encouraged to take such days off.
The employer reserves the right to modify any paid time off policies.
It is the intention of both parties to form a long and mutually profitable relationship. However, this relationship may be terminated by either party at any time provided 2 weeks' written notice is delivered to the other party. Every 4 months, this notice period (initially set to 2 weeks) will be incremented by 2 weeks up to a maximum notice period of 4 weeks. The Freelancer agrees to return any Employer property upon termination.
As a Freelancer, you will have access to confidential information that is the property of the Employer. You are not permitted to disclose this information outside of the Company.
It is further acknowledged that upon the termination of your Freelance Employment, you will not solicit business from any of the Employer’s clients for a period of at least 2 months.
All the deliverables, creations produced by the freelancer during his/her working hours are the sole property of the Employer, and no intellectual property rights may be claimed by the freelancer.
In addition, the freelancer agrees to not reuse, republish or sell any of these deliverables and creations either for his own benefits or the benefits of another employer.
This contract represents the entire agreement between the two parties and supersedes any previous written or oral agreement. This agreement may be modified at any time, provided the written consent of both the Employer and the Freelancer.
The parties agree that if any portion of this contract is found to be void or unenforceable, it shall be struck from the record and the remaining provisions will retain their full force and effect.
This contract shall be governed, interpreted, and construed in accordance with the laws of England in the United Kingdom.
In witness and agreement whereof, the Employer has executed this contract with the due process through the authorization of official company agents and with the consent of the Freelancer, given here in writing.
